i hava a 06 apex gt ....stock with 144 studs.
a local week end event in my area is having a run what you brung
snow mobile grass drag race.
i would like to run my Apex.
does anybody know what i might need to set up the sled to run on grass ?
also can i set up some kind of lube system ( temperary ) for the slides ? :ORC

Ive been told you can spray a 50/50 mix of soap and water on the suspension to help..

Make sure you have alot of studs...

Dont forget to let us know how you did..

I used soap and water in a weed sprayer to applicate it when i rode my sled in the grass. I got 13 miles on in the grass, thats a lot of runs across a small yard LOL

thanks guys
i was looking for sugestions on a lube system that lubes as i am making my pass like a drip line off of a bottle of 50/50 solution any ideas on how and wher to mount a resivior botle :o|

Remove your sliders and add a front wheel kit up near the rail bend,do not lube your skid, also see if you can compress your skid,it is not like any of the old style we have worked with before, you could use your limiter strap to pull the skid down,i suppose you still could do this some how with straps of some sort, but clutch it and gear ir,most grass drags are 500 ft. bring some ice so you can cool it off some before your next run, your running boards hold alot of heat, and you are not cycling the cool iced off coolant thru your motor so put some ice on your running boards and if you can get some down around your bottom end. so you can cool the crank, dont dial up to much transfer as you will wheelie bad if you hook up,give it hell.

dirt+water=mud=sandpaper=slow.

No one in grass runs a lube system. Best, use very worn hyfax or machine them down so you run only on the wheels. Tie the ski suspension down, and the front/rear of the rear suspension down so you have only a few inches of travel.

Keep the track as loose as you can and not jump. make sure it is aligned perfectly.

Add one set of wheels to the front of the skid 1" back on center of the hole from the edge of the bump stop and you can remove the hyfax completely. Feel free to call if you have any questions.
