Hey guys.. I am thinking of putting Wider Ski Stance on 05 RX1 Mnt....We dont have here in Russia those kit like Holtz makes or others...

So I am thinking of putting a wider Upper and Lower arms and sway bars form 05 RX1 or RS...

What do you will It fit and work...Do I need to get something else as well???

Thanks for your help... ;)!

did you move the spacers in the ski's yet? they give you about a half inch wider on each side

You will also need the tie rods and sway bar since the wider arms will push those things further out.

Which spacers??? aren't stock 05 RX1 Mnt set at the widest setting possible???

You guys think it should work or NOT???

I have the wideing kit from Pionner, overall it is a good kit, I would recommend replacing the bolts they supply in the kit with higher quality bolts, it is fairly easy to install. Pioneer also gives stiffer shocks with the kit since you will be leveraging the stock shocks more, I would recommend putting Ohlins on wiht this kit. The arms from an RX 1 short track will work, just remember that you need the tie rods and longer sway bar also.

Like I've said before we dont hade here those Pioner or other Tuners packages availible...Mostly only original parts...

Now I thinking of putting even more wider Arms form Ventures TF I think they are 47 wide...

That will make my RX1 Mnt to handle much better...

wider arms will make it handle better on the trails but good luck carving or sidehilling with arms that big

Anyway, if you look where the A Arm Spindle thing drops down and connects to the skis, there are spacers, one on each side. If you take that bolt out, you can put both spacers on one side and make it a little wider.

ded moroz,

Check with your dealer and find out for sure; but, I believe that the RS chassis has different A-arms and spindles. They might not fit on the RX-1 chassis.

Also when you say you can't get the aftermarket kits; just the sock parts. Are you trying to get them through your dealer, or have you contacted these places and asked if they would ship to Russia? Like MrSled said you should be able to get them shipped directly from the company (be it Pioneer, MPI etcetera.... )but would have to pay for shipping.

wide front end

If your front end is darting all over the place with stock skis then try Simmons skis.
Runner on outside of ski makes front end feel like wide front end and no more darting and feels very safe compared to stock skis.
Cheaper and great on the trail and when you let go of handlebars it goes straight!
38 centers turns into 44 outside runners??
