I have had the Castle gloves....not good in my opinion. You get what you pay for.

What about these FXR gloves? They seem like the best of everything....index finger for braking, and remaining fingers in a mitt style to stay warm.

That's pretty cool! I need to have one finger on the brake but the rest could keep each other warm, do they have any thinsulate in them, they are fairly vague on the site.

Marmot ultimate ski gloves are the best I have found and I have tried most of the ones named here, I am ordering another pair this year, I have had mine for 4 or 5 years and they are ready to be replaced.

Wow do a search on ICEBIKE Mitts they are made in Duluth, MN....SOMETIMES. I emailed them to see if they are doing a batch of icebikes mittens. Every review has stated they are too warm for temps over 10 degrees. Down to -10 degrees on a motorcycle and some still sweat in them.
They look like that FXR claw glove and so far sound like the warmest glove available, but hard to find a lot of info on the net.

normal wear and tear are not covered and this is just years of hard use.

Here is some info on the they icebike, they are $70 a pair:
3 layer laminated nylon shell fabric, 300 Wt Polartec, and Toughtek 9000
for the palms. We use 3mm neoprene over the fingers.
We've never had them used for snowmobiling, so I can't compare them to
the other mittens on the market.
I know they beat other bicycle mittens hands down. There has never been
an official test by any of the large magazines in cycling.
