Ice Scratcher Reminder Strap - Apex

Made a simple device to remind me when my ice scratchers are down and hopefully save them from damage from reversing.
I used a piece of nylon strap and sewed velcro onto it. I then cut a slots in plastic above and below the reverse handle using a dremmel cutting disk and threaded the strap through it. Now when the ice scratchers are down I can cover the reverse handle with the strap to ensure that I don`t use it.

I put a red reflective sticker on my reverse handle....not that it will stop me from going in reverse, but it has worked so far. It is not as fool proof as yours though.

I painted the side of the lever that you see when its on a flashy red,it works for me.
