i have scratchers that mount to the bottom of the running boards, mounted them pretty much as far forward as i can. I am very happy with them. i picked them up at my local dealership, don't recall the brand name right now.

I'd like to see more on these. anyone have any info?

I have these on my nytro. They drive me nuts, you feel everything in your feet.

Depending on how they're attached the vibrations have been known to crack the running boards as well.

The reverse line makes me smile because I did it multiple times last year and eventually had to replace them becauce of being bent. :o| Just have to get use to riding with them.

i think ski scratchers are the way to go on the Nytro. The exchanger is up front as is the bulk of the slide wear. Mounting them on the skid is only going to help your buddy behind you. On the poos with the big exchanger at the back, the rails were ideal, but the Nytro's are prime candidates for ski scratchers. I have the marginal wheel kit on my shorty, but if slide wear still proves to be an issue, I'll be getting ski scratchers as well.

A set like this would be handy, but how many times do you reverse with your scratchers down anyway.

I tried the slidekicks and I destroyed them after one ride...

I installed Slidekicks Cable Scratchers which can be found at www.slidekicks.net

I installed these on my ski's instead of the rails, and they were positioned to spray snow using a carbide tip right at my track windows for my sliders...

After testing this past weekend on icy surfaces, the reversable scratchers fell apart...

Despite loctite, the above carbide ends which screw into the cable came loose and bent, and I even lost one in a short amount of time.

The cable itself is coated in plastic to help it maintain its bend to apply force to the ground, and that plastic cracked off quickly and the cable lost its shape and began to fray...

They do not recieve a passing grade at all and I will be looking for a refund.

Update; I got my refund, the company was contacted and assured us that I got last years production of the scratchers and they have since been upgraded in quality and i've been asked to test them out - I can't imagine what's different about them but they're on order so we'll see. I'm also interested in the ones that connect to the running boards - wonder if you can mount that to the belly pan instead? I dunno, being off the ski's with a spray right in front of the track sounds better to me.
