Hi. It seems my idle adjuster has dropped from it's bracket and I'm unable to adjust my idle speed. What parts should I take off to reach it and get it back on where it belongs?

This is my first post, so here's the picture of my new Phazer ('07 FX with 144"/1.5 track): :rocks:

You will need to remove the headlight, the plastic that goes from the headlight to the seat and the 2 small plastics that are on the sides. Also remove the 2 plastics covering the air box.

Then you will Need to unplug all the hoses and words plugged into the airbox. Remember what goes where. Then to get the airbox offyou will need to take off the 3 rubber caps on the airbox and with a long Allen key remove the 3 screws seeking the air box.

Be careful when you pull it up to make sure you haven't missed any of the hoses.

From here you should see the idle screw.

Thanks for instructions. Not as easy as I thought, but good practice for future maintenance :)

Its a 15 minute job to remove all the body panels and airbox. I had to take my airbox out replace the rivets as per the service bulletin. I noticed my idle adjust was not attached to the frame - just hanging there. Once you remove the airbox the first time its much quicker and easier after that.

No problem. Yea what cubby said. 15 mins. This is also how you get the the oil filter.

nice looking sled kimple.
this problem happens to me when i first got my sled. all you need to do is take off the front frame panel, under by the a-arms. 4 tabs hold it on. reach in if you can, & snap it back on the bracket.

Thanks alot xt-gt!
I finally got into doing this and was able to do it exactly like you told. The adjuster was just hanging there and it was easy to put it back to the bracket through the front frame panel opening.
