This should probably be on the "Mountain" side of the house but with the six (just joking) of us that use that site it may take forever to get an answer.
I have run my ECP filter equipped RX-1M now with from 156.3 to 165 main jets. I honestly can't say which one works the best. When I happened to line up with another ECP equipped RX-1M with 165 mains and I had the 156.3 mains in I walked away from him by a substantial margin I understand. We had the exact clutch setup too (although this individuals sled was not broken in yet). We were at 6,000 feet during this faceoff.
This makes me wonder if maybe he was too rich with the 165 mains?
I still think we need a recommended jetting chart for the ECP filters. 165 jets can't be perfect for all applications.
I'd also like to see a fuel screw setting and a needle postion and pilot jet size chart as long as I'm dreaming. Thanks. PB
PS: Did I miss the results from the testing of the different carb needles?

I can't quite figure how to read four stroke plugs, I have jetted at 165 and above. This past weekend I returned to 165 and it was cold temps when driveing. Checked the plug aftre it has been sitting for days and it is white clear arond the strap to the threads. Ithink I'll have to move it up again, but to what though?

We're in serious need of direction here. If we were riding two strokes there would be a litany of seizures with jetting guidance this vague.
Even Volvo Marine suggests jetting changes for their marine engines as you go up in elevation (I know they are four strokes). I was able to coax another 2 mph. out of my 25 ft. midcabin cruiser by jetting to the higher elevation specs (leaner) called out in their manual.
I wonder if Freddie can simulate elevation changes with his dyno?
Yes, I understand more fuel (to a point) is a benefit. At some point you must reach the point of diminishing returns.
I don't know, I'm just in a quandry. Do I go back to the recommended 165 and lose economy and responsiveness or stay with the 156.3 jets and press on? Do four strokes always run best before they seize too? PB
