Innovative use of super bright LEDs for safety

Get the Garrety and the Energizer both. The Garrity is best for the lead sled according to Bluedog (and it is the brightest). I wear the energizer around my neck.

Steve, I figured, if the lead person would have one mounted on the sled, could be used as a TY light, in case you are going to meet someone?

Impalapower is right, these are very noticeable, and work great! I was also thinking, if the light is in blinking mode, it might slow down the oncoming traffic a little more.

What do you guys think?
 
IF you get a red and blue one blinking and put on each side of your sled I guarantee you they will slow down. lol

Thanks Terry, I knew the reason was logical but beyond my mental capacity to figure it out.

I do recall meeting some oncoming riders one night who were wearing Lead Dog Helmet lights http://www.helmetlight.com/ and thought I came across aliens.

No, I wasn't drinking and yes it slowed me down.
 
Terry, if you mounted it high, say near the top of your windshield, even give oncomming sleds a little more warning, even during the day.

In trying to meet up with someone even at a pit stop, you could leave it on flash pointing towards the trail while you are inside :D

Just so you don't put the energizer in backwards, cause then you keep c%^&ing, and c%^&ing....................

Picked up a couple LED lights for my dad for Christmas. They have two white/blue LED's, or 1 red. Not sure where they'll be mounted, but we'll figure it out.
 
I would think that endurance racers at the I-500, here in the Soo would also bennefit from these as well. Although I doubt it will be cold enough for ice dust this year :o|
