Installed 1 1/2 inch camoplast cross country on Rx1

I installed an inch and a half camoplast cross country 15x121 on my 2003 rx1 I removed a 1/4 inch off the lug to clear the tunnnel protectors.I rode it today on the snow covered lake and works great.Should I gear down because of the higher lug?I have reverse on the sled. I had a 1 1/4 ripsaw on it and after 7000 miles it was time.

By cutting an 1/4 inch off aren't you back to a 1 1/4 track? I have the same track on my Mountain I lost a little 1-2 mph at top end but not a huge difference.

I cut the 1/4 inch off the lug just to clear the tunnel protector, not off the whole lug.

I see sorry should have re-read your post. I really like this track it hooks up nice on and off trail.
