I bought a Boss seat for my Apex but its not a direct bolt/snap on like I thought it was. I wanted to do a tunnel dump exhaust and seat but a local dealer had a pretty good deal on a non-tunnel dump seat...plus I don't have the cash to do both right now.
The back plastic muffler cover screws onto the factory seat but it can't screw onto the Boss seat.??
Any ideas??

NICE!!!
That is a sick azz custom job right there......congrats on who ever did that work! People don't really know how hard it is to make stuff like that to look nice/clean and custom without looking cheesy!
Your seat needs a support bracket under it in the back and you remove everything and cover hole in tunnel with a piece of aluminum plate. Then snap the seat to the tunnel and use provided velcro.....works good. If your not mechanically inclined I'd recommend A LOT of research on here and you will find many conversions like this where guys have gone to under tunnel exhaust and bulit a support bracket to support under the seat like above. His is quite a bit nicer then most and a lot more work but you get the idea!

Thanks for the advice so far....but I thought pictures would help me explain it a little more. As you can see I am keeping the stock exhaust for now so this is the Boss seat I have to use. This means I have to keep the black plastic cover at the back but this cover has nothing to screw to.
Also, the wiring for the tail light goes through the factory seat. I tried to pull it out but it doesn't budge...are guys buying new ones or cutting the ends off?
Thanks

Pull the staples along the edge of your stock seat cover to get the wiring out. The back of the new seat cover should wrap over the black plastic cover to hold it in place.

bingo
I ran a Hauck stock exiting exhaust with the same seat and didn't think it was a problem? Like the other guy said snapp all the piece together and then tuck it up under that tail piece of materila hangin down in the rear....or bend a smal piece of Aluminum and rivet it to the tunnel then screw it to the plastic piece....it's not rocket science man it can be done in a small amount of time just figure it out.

The exhaust is not really loud cruising, when you crack it open she will scream. I am in the process of putting the exhaust under the tunnel and closing the back in,(installing a ski-doo bag back there)

Re: bingo
I know it's not rocket science but want to make sure Im not missing something-and there are lots of knowledgeable people on here to ask...
I phoned Boss today and they said the seat should have come with a piece of fabric to use instead of the plastic piece-they are sending it out Monday. I can't picture how it will look so I still may do as you said and rivet a piece of metal to the tunnel for it to screw to.
Thanks for the advice and I will post pics as soon as its mounted.

Yes, it should have come with a piece of felt that acts as a heat shield or insulation. This wraps over the stock heat shield over the muffler at the rear of the sled and continues up the tunnel to where the gas tank starts. You have to drill holes in the felt and tunnel/heat shield and rivet the felt down.
You then put the seat on the sled to figure out where to drill the tunnel for the snaps. Drill and install the snaps. Then attaceh the self adhesive velcro pieces to the tunnel.
The flap on the end of the seat goes over the black plastic piece between your exhaust tubes.
It does not seem like there is much holding this seat on but once you get it all in place it seems solid. I had mine out for a spin on the weekend and seemed fine...defintely firmer then the old seat though. But I don;t use the seat much anyways!
If you've any more questions PM me on Snow and Mud (same user name); I'm on there a lot more than here.
