Question for those who used the longer links. I thought there may have been a thread about them before the system crash. I'm I correct in thinking that there were problems with the stock sway bar if used with the longer links? - scott

I installed the longer links in Jan have aprox 1100 miles. No problem with the sway bar that I can see, but it sure did make a world of differance in how it handles turns

There was a bit on the longer links AND the 12mm bar (not recomended but guys that tried it liked it) but I can't think of any reason why the longer links wouldn't work with the 10mm bars. One of the mags added the longer links and loved it and if you don't like it you can always add the thicker bars later. 8) 8)

Guys, I have been out of the net lately busy with commercial fishing. Anyway I bought the 13 mm bar and snapped it useing stock links. I now have the 12 mm bar and use it with the stock links. I have the longer liks as backup. Remember, the thicker bar or the longer links do not solve all the body roll problems. You must make skid and front end adjustments so all work together. No one component or will make difference.

No scale with me. I estimate between 50 and 60 lbs. I have caught bigger in the range of 80 lbs. These things fight and have to be clubbed in the head or they flop all around in the boat.

No mods on the 100 Yamaha Outboard and yes it's a 4-Stroker. Remember back awhile I was asking if any demented RX-1 owner had any ideas on how to squeeze a few more ponies out of an outboard.

I have been looking at the Yamaha 115 hp 4- stroke. They want $8450 for it, almost as much as a new RX.

Or.... I could go for that 150 yami two stroke.....Yah Mun. That motor on a 20 foot flat bottom river boat will make you have chinese eyes. Were talking 65-70 mph at 18 gallons per hour full throttle.

BBY- I'm still waiting on prices on that secondary helix. When are you ready to sell. Email me please. Only a few month left in Alaska before snow starts flying. Want to do my RX mods in the summer.

Be careful that your hull can handle that kind of power before you put the $$ into it. I put a 175 HPDI onto my last ski boat and was limited to 50 mph because the hull would loose stability dangerously. My new boat handles stable up to 65 mph, but I can push it to 70+ on smooth water (lever to the floor). Heavy fiberglass vee-hull bowrider 18'.

Your right LB, my boat is only rated for 80 hp max. However it is common to seen similar boats out here way over the rated HP size. My boat happens to be a Yukon Raider Aluminum Boat made in Vancouver BC.

It's basically .100 Aluminum all around and welded like a tank. My current outboard weights in at 356 a 130hp weights 358 and a 150 weighs 418. i would have to do some transom mods for a 150.

i understand that Yamaha will stop manufacturing 2 stroke outboards by 2005 or 2006 and go with a line of 4 strokes. The new line up will be released next month. I wonder what they have in store.
