Installing Pilot Skis

I'm trying to find out what rubber to use I know I've heard the ZX rubbers but it must be a different ZX rubber than I know about a part# or pic would be helpful .

I know it's been posted here before, and yes it's the ZX rubber. Did you try the search feature?

Thanks for the reply Marsh thats the ones I have I got the skis on tight fit I could'nt find much in the search just curios if you cut yours at all.

I went with the Slydog Phazer 7 Nytro Mount kit for the Pilot Skis on my Nytro. Snug fit (not tight) and skis rest at proper angle. It was not a perfect fit, but it was 90%.

After I bolted on the skis with the zx mounts, I ordered the slydog mounts also. The zx mounts were too tight for my liking.

So now where do I find info on the toe-in or toe-out setting for the pilot skis on the Nytro? I was able to measure the angle and it is as neutral (0 angle) as it can be. Where should I set it?

I read somewhere that you want it at zero.

ZX Rubbers

The ZX rubbers will work fine but they do need to be trimmed for a proper fit.

With the ski off, determine which is the front and back of the ZX rubber and hold it up to the bottom of the outside of the spindle at a slight angle and mark along side of the rubber with an ink pen and that will give you the angle that needs to be trimmed away.

I would suggest clamping the bottom of the rubber in a vice and using needle nosed pliers and a new razor blade. The cut will be clean and the fit will be perfect.
