You need to position the spring in the correct holes for the desired twist, probably the 6 and the 1 for 70 degrees of twist. Then you have to twist the two halves and then place them together on the three studs. This will force the buttons down on the helix. If you twist the wrong way, you get what you have. First time I had mine apart, ... I had the same opportunity.

set the sheaves together with no spring...put on something to allow the hub on fixed sheave to hang through...the clutch will be closed....set the spring in 3 AND 3 on the helix (60 degrees)... rotate the helix to the right to get the holes to line up with the studs and push on and install nuts..

Set it at 3 and 3 (60 degrees total) 70 is really tight on the white spring, and if you set it in hole 6 like you have, then hole 1, it will be at 70. Set it in holes #3 on the helix and the clutch.

Use the instructions link, then Apex stage 2
When you are turning the helix to the right, you May have to turn it close to 1/3 turn. A second set of hand may help.

When changing the helix/spring on the secondary it's alot easier if you do it on the sled, especially if it is up on a lift. Just put the parking brake on to prevent the secondary from turning.
