Pulled the trigger on a 09 XTX, I am now calling around getting some insurance quotes for this thing. I knew it would be expensive since it is over 1000cc's but I didnt think that high. Who are you guys using for insurance and about what are you paying for full converage. I dont want to get anyone in trouble so send me a PM if you want on your agent and amount. Thanks a bunch in advance, I love all the good advice from this site.
I also know that insurance is high for younger guys but I am 30 and married with children, so I thought that would help with my rate.

I switched to Allstate this year. Now paying 1/3rd what we were paying with a lower deductible.
Call State Farm as well. I was quoted $270.00 to over $1400.00 while making the rounds. Unreal what a scam this can be.....
I think I also pay 270.00 a year through state farm.

500 or 600.
Depends on whether Grass or snow and sanctioning body / magazine.
Shootout at Old Forge they were in the 600cc single pipe class.

be sure to check your coverage limits when comparing quotes. some states like VT have minimum coverage requirements that the low ball prices do not meet.
Progressive through Sled Insure.com (super easy/fast to deal with), $312 for 300/500 coverage with $500 comp /$1000 coll deductibles.

ALL STATE - good hands guys....$320 a year...others i called wanted 800 to 1200 a year....they are nuts ,,they added my quad on for another $110
I think they think these machines are killer or like double the power of a regular 600 to 800 twosmoke engine
By the way I spoke with several agents and they dont use your driving record to base things on they use your credit score,,,because in thier minds a peson with a bad credit score is more likely to crash....makes perfect sense...thats not to say that having 14 points on your licese helps....
