Weekly Conservation Officer's report
District X- XXXXXXX area
1/30
Officer XXXX XXXX (Lake George) dispatched several injured deer and issued car-kill permits, spoke with a farmer regarding deer depredation, worked snowmobile enforcement in the areas of complaints, and checked area fishermen. Due to slush problems on area lakes, some anglers are already removing shelters. Remember, fish houses can't be stored at a public access. While working radar on a snowmobile trail near Lake George, he clocked two sleds at 96 miles per hour. He stepped out and motioned for them to stop, which they did. One of the operators removed his helmet and said, "You have a good place to work enforcement here." I guess I had to agree with him.

Well My new RX-1 goes at least 96MPH on the gun. Atkin to Bemedji to Motley 450 miles and the one time I really hold it down and this happens. It read 108 on the speedo. It was still pulling pretty good at this speed. I should have told him I was just passing the slower Mach Z in front of me. My buddy on the 2000 Mach z filled his pants when I went by him like a freight train, then it was my turn fill'em when I saw the green fender sticking out of the trees  . I should have known it was going to be a speed trap, with 20+consecutive miles of groomed trails in MN :ORC . The officer was a very polite guy and I was just flat busted. His was very fair about things.
Other than that it was a great trip. I love the 4-stroke and would never own anything else from now on out . That mach z has about 2500 miles on it with 192 studs. No studs on my sled with 700 miles on the odo, and in various trail conditions, (except ice) the RX-1 always would walk away from that Mach in crud or on hard pack. They were closely matched.
I did buy a M-10 yesterday, tired of the proaction's issues. poor design of the W-arm doesn't help a big guy like me . Every monster hit I'm left wondering what I broke this time.
Could have been alot worse ......it was actually a township road (MMR) / trial. So all vehicle moving violations would have applied. Instead he applied the DNR fine only. Thank you, sir......
