Is anyone running 93 octane?

There is also a difference between winter and summer gas. Something about it vaporizing... Too bad there wasn't some tester that went around to make sure the stations were selling what there advertizing. Old High test might be worse than regular after sitting sround... The gas jugs I had sitting outside half full of fuel all had frozen ice chunks in them. When I was racing I had Gas in jugs I had filled that day. There was a big ice chunk in the jug and I know it was empty when I fueled up... I'm going to run regular fuel in my Nytro for now. Guys like Yamloyal, skidooboy, Knappattack have good points and some experience with this. I have heard all they say spoken of before and have experienced a little myself.

To me the "freshness" if that's a word is far more important than the octane. I say that as my sled only requires 87, if it needed 91-93 I would look for both. Next time you’re up riding take a look at what the locals are putting in their vehicles. Regular would be my bet, so to me the freshest fuel would be the Reg. We actually asked the attendant what the most used fuel was at the station, regular is was again. They said probably three times that of Premium. Run what you want to I’ll stick with Reg. Now for my cans at home and for storage purposes I will get premium at the gas station by my house, since more premium is used here at home I figure it’s more likely to be fresh. I also put Amsoil Stabilizer in the cans as well.

I run whatever I can find. Sled runs great on whatever. Oh yeah in a 4 stroke octane is not the important factor its the oxygenation level in the fuel that makes the difference
