is it possible for a track to shrink

here's my issue,i have a 121 kimpex speed track,192 picks.i got my track adjusters turned all the way in and this track is banjo string tight.i also have anti slip drivers and the track still ratchets,wtf.i pulled the skid and can't find anything broken.i just don't get it and why the hell does it still ratchet being that tight.

You could have wrong pitch drivers.I assume it happened after a change of track or drivers ?

no that's the strange part.i had them in 1 of my rx1's with nitrous.ran it loose as hell with no problems.put same track and skid into my turbo rx1 and it would ratchet very bad unless it was super tight.put that same setup back in my nitrous rx1 and now have this problem.i don't get it.i got new whal drivers and a 136 speed track and skid going into the turbo sled.i'll have to see what happens now.very strange

Do you have the skid mounted in the stock location? Maybe you mounted it further back causing the track to be tight??
