Is my Nytro Normal

If you haven't try reversing the rubber mounts so that the rubber looks like it matches the spindle correctly. it lifted the front of my skis considerably and made them about level if not some more height up front.

And as for the front springs wouldn't it be the looser the more ski pressure? As when the skis are loose they will contract under normal load conditions therefor acting like they are pushing against the ground. And when they are tightened they will act as if they are just sitting on the ground. Think of it as if the front end is higher more weight is transferred to the rear than if the front is sitting low.

I pulled the bars back so they are more set to sitting down instead of standing and that made it much easier to turn, the first time I rode the sled around the field a few times I was tired, then I readjusted the bars and was supprised at how much easier it was. This is my sisters sled and she loves it. Also running 6" slim-jims fx nitro.

Thank you everyone for your input and suggestions.

I put on a set of dooly's cranked the center spring up 5 turns fixed the toe ( it was toed in 3" up front ) so I toed it out 1.5" over straight.

She went from riding 30mph because she couldnt steer and didnt feel safe ( due to darting ). To tonight we rode with my buddies and she was third inline I was second because I didnt know were I was going, and we averaged 65mph the entire night. Our first stop I asked her how it felt and she had this big grin and said WOW its like a completely different sled. She got a pretty sweet compliment from another guy thats 250 6 2" that rides a nytro. He said " wow for being a bitty thing she sure can handle that sled better then alot of people that ive seen"

So I think were back in business.

Your toed out 1.5"? Wow!! But even bigger WOW is you where 3" toed in!!! Incredible. I'm surprised that machine didn't stop like you had the brake on or an anchor out when just letting off the gas. I Karumba who set it up?

When I first got mine it was toed in a ton too. Very hard to ride and was all over the place so I can't just imagine hoe much she likes it with the changes. Completely different sled when its set up!

The biggest improvement I've seen to date and last weekend was the first ride with the Slim Jim dual runners

Where can I buy these?

The Slim Jims are runners made by Woodys. You should be able to get them from a major distributor like Dennis Kirk or Royal Distributing.

Here are some pics, I was nervous with the amount of gear attached to the ski, In powder it was very surprising. I'm going to 6.9 Pilots and I think it will be the perfect match for me.

Remember to compare the Slim Jim Dooly to the Original Dooly.

Does reversing the rubber do the same thing as the shimming? I am also working through set up issues on an 2008 that is new to me..

In theory I think its supposed to transfer the weight to the rear of the ski. I would try the shim first then go from there.

I did read the different stories on shims on TY and Bergstroms. Does shiming reduce the darting and help steering effort that much? Seems almost too good and/or easy to be true..?

What do you guys use to shim? Buy it from Bergstroms or use just some plastic and screw it on? How thick for XTX ??

Yes it does help that much as well as proper toe out. But too much shim will start to reverse the benefit and start to dart all over, so don't go overboard.

I used a old Napa mud flap and screwed it on to the rubber piece.
