is my stator dead

) 06 apex gt. 9200 miles. I put new battery in a couple weeks ago. Charged up with optimate before a 150 mile ride. Sled ran good alk day but towards the end night time headlights were a litle weak and my yamaheaters with boosters were pretty weak also. Sled barely started when loading on trailer. Got it home and it was dead. Charged battry fully overnight. Voltage was 12.8 in the mourning. Started the sled voltage was between 12.5-12.7. Held rpms at 3500 for a couple minutes and watched volts still at 12.5-12.7. Yamaha dealer said it should be over 13 volts running.. very frustrated when we only have about 3 weeks of snow left and this was my first ride this year. Any help or tests that I csn run to see if this is the problem. Thanks a lot. I hope its not the stator or I'm done for the season.

To me it sounds like the stator, and the miles and year seem about right for that problem. But I'm not an electrical genius. When mine went it threw code 12 and wouldn't start anymore. I picked up a used replacement for about half the cost of new.

It still starts and drives. No codes. That's what's odd to me.

When they get hot that when they fail I have changed out lots even when they test out ok I think you need a new stator if you do not want the yamaha try Ricks stator out we have used them an have had great luck with them

Anyone know where there is info on how to change the stator stator in this sled...thanks
