2011 apex xtx with 25000 mi (40000 km).
battery shorted last season on ty ride. replaced battery in off season as sled was not being ridden. made it till sat pm before battery was too dead to start sled again. boosted it and got it home. got a voltage to injector code as i was parking it in the yard. i did check that it was putting out 14 v at rpm when i did battery. i think she is just not putting out enough amps to stay ahead on the battery.
ordered the stator today and gasket. on national back order with unknown delivery date at this time from yamaha on stator.

yup.
it was fine at the ty ride but that was all long higher speed runs. saturday i took my nephew out (sisters kid) for his 1st trail run on his own sled and he had 4 oopsies into the sticks with only his pride hurt. we where not running as fast as i usually do but he did well for his 1st 100 mi on trail soloing. now if i can get him to stop breaking helmets/visors when he leaves the sled......

It's definitely easier the second time around. I even had the small dixie cups I used the last time where I numbered them #1 - #11 since the stator bolts vary in length so it helps to keep track. The only trick I didn't use the first time was to use a spark plug to screw into the smaller of the two thread plugs on the stator to help remove the cover

Found a broken wire in the stator windings laying in the stator cover. She was pretty black. Waiting to fill it as I put some form a gasket on the stator cover and I need coolant to fill it as the accessories block heater in hose has to be removed to get 2 bolts on the cover. Only took 3 hr without me getting into my pre season service on it.

Only took 3 hr without me getting into my pre season service on it.
Intitially Yamaha said they had no idea on when a stator would be in, but three weeks ago all of a sudden they had three in stock in Toronto.
So I have one here now.

it is oe and it came in around the end of march. i just finally had time to tear into it yesterday. going to top off fluids some time this week and possibly pack some bearings to finish its pre season.

well finally got time during the day to test run it. putting out 14V at battery now. just need to do 2 more heat cycles to burp coolant system before i put it away until the season.
