I can move rotate my secondary clutch forward and back two inches either way with the belt off. I changed my chain case oil last week.. and tightened the chain as per the manual? I know my Viper had a little bit of play. Is this much play in the chain case normal with chain tightened as per the owners manual? does it have something to do with the reverse? or do I have problems.. I drove the sled on the lawn and it worked fine.. and I was only able to tighten the chain a tiny bit from the dealer setup.. Do I have problems?
Yes...I had the same concerns when I brought my Attak home. Everyone here assured me that there is significant free play in there as a result of the reverse gear. Normal.

Yes, it's normal. All sleds with (Mechanical or "geared" reverse will have this or comparable freeplay to what you have.
My old Poo, my 06'RTX, and my buddies 04' Viper ER all have it.
You can sleep now.
