possible looseness in chain case

Hey guys when I hit he throttle you can hear a clunking in the chain case. Any ideas, the chain is tight as per owners manual specs

You sure its not the jackshaft or driveshaft bearings? Chaincase will typically always clunk if there is a problem not just under heavy load.

does the clunk happen when you come onto the gas hard after a hard decel or brake application?

if it does, that is just the play in the reverse built into the chaincase.
