I think Im gunna ride it for a few miles and recheck it. If it is ok, Im gunna run it until I get around 800 miles on it and change it to 0w30 synthetic. I just dont want to switch to syn too early.
Are you talking 800 miles you put on or 800 total miles on the machine?? If you are talking total miles on the machine I would definately wait longer then that before switching to syn. Do a search but if I recall most recomend to wait till at least 2000 before doing the switch...

Really?? Wow, 2000 sounds like alot. I switched my RX-1 at 1200 and I thought that was too many. I usually switch my quads around 400-500 miles. Usually when I buy a new machine, I break it in and change the oil around 200 miles to fresh dyno oil. Then I run it another 200-300 miles and change it (at around 500 miles) to syn. Have had good luck doing this so far... I could wait longer if its recommended???dab102999 said:
