oil tank screen

Yesterday I was checking the oil in my apex and accidentally dropped a half inch by half piece of paper towel into the oil tank. Now is it ok for me to run my sled the rest of the winter until i do the next oil change or do i risk ruining an engine over not enough oil being drawn into the engine from the tank screen being partially covered.

the screen is about 3 inches long so the paper towel wont block it. best is to carefully drain the tank, remove screen, clean and replace. use a clean container and pour the oil back in.
