IS YAMAHA BRINGING BACK THE SNO-SCOOT?

Still on the bench. Have to add a couple of filler pieces to the rails so I can bolt the suspension back in place. Once it's all fitting I need to finish paint, seat cover, make a tunnel to cover the track, then get the plastic wrapped -thinking about a metallic yam blue color.

Can't wait to try it out. It was in mint condition and was well looked after .... Only twisted off one or two bolts when taking everything apart ... Everything else came apart like it was brand new.

It would be a blast to have something like it with a high strung 250 cc.

It may be possible afterall ... Anyone have experience with the z-Start Pro Clutch from Rekluse Motor Sports? It's a clutch kit that converts a stock dirt bike clutch into an automatic transmission (sort of). Using this kit, I wonder if it would be possible to drive a track directly off the motor, eliminating the need for a CVT?

You can check out the z-Start Pro Clutch offerings for various Yamaha motors here:http://rekluse.mybigcommerce.com/ca...Start-Pro-Clutch/Yamaha-z%2dStart-Pro-Clutch/

this is a great read as I just picked a 89 scoot...not to hyjack, but what are you guys running for skis? aftermarket? what skins fit the stock skis.. I cant wait to see the pics.

From Redbull660 on Snowest:
I have been doing some research and found that a pair of ski skins for a 1993 skidoo formula are the same width as the sno scoot skis. They are longer but I can trim that.

Keep in mind that skins won't necessarily improve flotation.

yep, but they will slide better and save my metal..

Royal has plastic skis, loops, and brackets complete for $270 ... all you need is a wielder to modify the brackets. The plastic skis make a big change to the sled .... no more snow sticking to them plus they are more forgiving and better able to absorb impacts with rocks, stumps, etc.

Thanks couch...what kind of mods are we talking? Any pics or more specfics?

interesting first link... I wish i had that spare cash. I will continue to pursue the skins... are you guys using phazer windsheilds? are they bolt on?

Sure looks like this could be the new Swing Arm suspension of the new Snoscoot
