It's time for us to HAMMER Dynojet again on RX-1 carbs!

Last year I asked Dynojet corporation if they would be building a carb kit for the Rx-1. They never even knew the sled existed!
If you don't know; Dynojet is the premiere motorcycle carb specialists. Their "Kits" typically are considered almost a must have item for serious performance minded street bike owners.
I even told them I would pay full price for their R-1 or FZ kit and happily assit them in their testing. They (the guy I talked to) wanted nothing of it and seemed to not show any interest at all in a the 4 stroke snowmobile market. Honestly, I think they have made a mistake! This could be a huge new market for them.
I think it's time several of us (yes you) to call and bug these guys to make a kit for the RX-1. Telling one guy no is one thing but, passing up a plee for help from dozens may be difficult.
Maybe we don't need Dynojet? Do you think there's a market for a RX-1 carb kit? Barry Holtzman has come up with the carb slide springs and maybe that's all we need but, I think from my past experiences with their kits that Dynojet could bring RX-1 performance to an all new level. What do you think? Powder Blue

they will not do nothing for the rx1 sleds
but he said we can try the r1 jet kit ...

but hes not responsable for anything

they tole me they are not into the snowmoblie market

man oh man

this sucks bad
we could of got somthing good here

hey blue why dont you get a kit for a 1999 2000 r1 i think they used the cv carbs

dynojet

Powderblue the only time I recall that you would need a dynojet carb kit is if you were changing exhaust system's on your bike, this drastically effect's the overall jetting of the carb hence the carb kit.Unless you changed your exhaust you should be able to tune it perfectly in stock form.plus those dynojet kit's aren't that easy to install some reqiure drilling in the carberator.

I have installed a couple of their kits. I was amazed how much the throttle response improved.
SRX, it sounds like you got the same story I did from Dynojet. I think whoever owns the company needs to get rid of the close minded tech rep we keep having the opportunity to speak with again and again. There's money to be made here and I'm at my wits end trying to get these guys to at least look at the snowmobile market. Powder Blue

AFAIK, the R1 had flat side carbs (Keihin FCR?), not the CV carbs on the RX-1. Plus, I think the R1 head is a down draft design, and the RX-1 is a side draft. Correct me if I am wrong though.

CARBS

Scott the 2001 had [4] 40mm mikuni cv downdraft carbs, after that they
have throttle body setup on them, i have a 2002 r1 with throttle body

I'm surprised they put CVs on the R1. I wonder if the Keihin FCRs were a common upgrade. But what I am really wondering is if the R1 EFI is easily adaptable to the RX-1.
