Well, it is about that time of the year when I start working on my sleds. We have 2 RX-1 Warriors and I am going to check the front bushings, hifax, belts, every nut and bolt and do a thorough clean job. Really look forward to this time of year as it gets me geared up for riding. We will also go to the Big East Show as part of our yearly ritual. What a great sport we participate in................

Any other yearly rituals out there to get you pumped up for riding??

Yeah I am just starting to go nuts. Its time to find the next motor for my 03 to replace the stoked 1100 cc Apex motor I blew up late last season. I just can't decide if I want to go another motor swap and if I want to stay with an injected motor or go back to a normally aspirated or just buy another sled.

decisions - decisions. The 03 chasis has over 12,000 miles on it but other than looking like its been ridden hard and put away wet everything is still in great shape and I have done a ton of mods on it. Bars, seat, rear suspension, front suspension, track, Hauck exhaust, motor change to fuel injected (now blown up), in tank electric fuel pump, gyt-r-dun air filters, hauck fuel controller. The 03 was my first new sled ever and I just can't get myself to give it up.

My 05 is staying the way it is as my always reliable backup in case of emergency sled need.

I guess I can wait till Hay Days and see what shows up. theres not much here on classifieds and E-bay has only 8 Yammis on it and they are all old 2 smokes.

Maybe I should start a poll on this site and see what everybody thinks. They probally think I am nuts!!!!! :jump:

Nice Project

RXRider,

That is quite the project you have going there. The new seat is very innovative..... I like it. I'll have to keep an eye on your project thru this site.

Every step of the build will be well covered in words and pics.

In that extensive post I have covered a lot of topics when it comes to maintenance so that post can be used as an HOW TO or service manual, so if you guys haven't already browsed it I suggest you read it all. If some topics are not covered, just tell me I will be able to add stuff that is not yet covered.

I have an Apex RTX so when time comes to do maintenance on it I will cover that model as well in a new post :-)
