Hello Everyone,

I have replaced the jack shaft bearing on my 06 Attack and I'm having problems with getting the chain case assembly completed.

I have tried to re-assemble the brake rotor, but my problem is I do not have enough space for the key that holds the rotor and the spacer.

Does anyone have a measurement on how much jack shaft should be extruded on the secondary clutch side?

Thanks,
Pat (on attack)

i just got done replacing my jackshaft bearing too on my RTX...

how did you tighten your bearing?.....you must install the shaft and bearing loosely first, then install entire chaincase side which will LOCATE your shaft into its proper location.

then lastly, you will tighten the jackshaft bearing into place by holding the rear knotched nut with a shock tool, and turning your secondary to tighten the bearing into place.

Im wondering if maybe you tightened the bearing first which inturn will not allow the shaft to slide into place properly and that is why your keyway wont go in??

any idea how much a yamaha dealership would charge for this job?
