Hey guys, looking for what comp to go with in my 03 rx1 with front mount ?
currently running 4 gaskets with gt 2560 but am starting to see some blue smoke blow by from crank case vent and using little oil on long hard pull conditions in mnts.
sled has m7 skid 162 track
i am also going to upgrade to the gt 2860rs turbo after doing pistons and rods next week(going out for one more trip before tear down).
im leaning to 9.1 ?

4 Gaskets is pretty Crazy, low compression.
What boost elevation, and fuel do you run????
You want to run as much compression as you can get away with given the fuel, elevation, and boost level.

running 12 to 15# right know
ride 4000 to 9000 feet elevation.
it is a mtn sled and looking to get to the 300-320 hp area.
run prem fuel to 12# and half 110 at 15#but looking to get more boost with less heat so going to bigger turbo.
it came with 4 gaskets in it (yes you can count 4) and was going to do comp and leak down test but going to do pistons and rods anyway just for reliablity reasons. so far 3000 boosted miles at 12 and no prob but looking for more.

I have pistons and rods in stock if you need them, 10.5:1 for elevation.
18-19 psi on half pump 87 and half c16 should do the trick.
4 gaskets your compression is 8.8:1 eegads batman.

Mixing race fuel and pump gas won't usually give you the octane you might think. I would look into running a race fuel with the octane you need, or into one of the fuel concentrates that actually makes the octane you need. 50% 110 + 50% 93 does not give you 101.5 octane, the 93 unleaded sucks the octane out bad. Just something to think of before you lock your self into a piston/gasket/high boost combo.
