jetting in michigan

Has anyone in michigan changed jetting with an all stock 03 rx1 mine seams to have alot of black stuff always coming out off the exhaust or is it just I need too move needles one clip and also which way PS: plugs are also a little black. thanks guys

I had the exact same thing. Plugs looked they came out of a 4-stroke :shock: First start off by getting your carbs slides sync'd and mixture screws adjusted to 2 turns out as per spec. Mine (completely stock) were all over the place...None of the 4 mixture screws were the same.... one was 3 1/2 turns out one was 2 one was 1 1/2 etc..

Doing this alone should clear things up.

so the air screws should be 2 full turns out

Yes as per service manual. After you do this make sure to get your slides sync'd and you should be good to go.

PS. My exhaust tips now run golden brown.
