do any of you carry a set of jumper cables on the trail just in case? If so, what do you guys recommend? Anything special? Cheapos?

I have a set from Dennis Kirk that I bought back in 04 when I bought a Warrior, haven't used them yet but they're nice and small, about 8' long. I keep them in my saddle bag.

I carry an Anti-Gravity Micro start kit. Comes with cables and a bunch of charging adapters all in a 8"x5"x2" zip case.

I have a small set also, if I remember right I bought them from Yamaha, they are small enough to carry in the nose bag. Have never in all these years used them yet. Always thought I might come across a Doo, or Poo, or Cat along the trail that might need some help!! ;)! LOL

this is what carry never had to use them

same as well, but I also carry a mirco jump pack from lowes.

Thought I was finally going to get to use them...sled wouldn't start at a gas stop, hooked them up and still no go...FN relay stuck and cooked the starter, had to listen to my bro bust balls about no pull cord like his Doo...win some lose some!

Old 4' tie down strap with a wooden dowl for a handle, start it off the clutch.

I made 6' cables out of some stranded wire & clamps we had laying around at work. Wife carries them on her 'Cat :)

I could have used a tie down but that stuck relay would still be feeding juice to the starter...couldn't get the terminals unhooked with the cheesey tool kit.

Decent set. Snowmobile size clamps, 8 feet long, 7" X 7" X 2 1/2" package

stores nicely in the nosecone.

eBay (real cheap - 30 or 50a, but have to wait for shipping) or WalMart has the clips ($2.xx for a set of two-one black and 1 red-will need two sets) , then use 10 or 12 gauge cut to your desired to length (don't leave them on too long)....relocate your belt and store in front hood pouchView media item 471 and belt relocate here:View media item 470
