Just a yamaha patent

This is totally different from anything they have out now! Single lower "A" arm with tall spindle and a single bar with ball joint up top and it looks like it should be able to slide or move along that horizontal bar it's connected to . So I'm thinking it will self adjust to some point . Very cool ;) Yamaha is not DEAD they were just sleeping ! Now they are awake and I'm seeing new chassis, new rear mono shock suspension new motor, and this new front ! And they proved they are the best at building BOOSTED sleds ! :yam:

Looks identical to the Cat front end if you ask me. Nothing special there that's not already on the market.

Figure 3, 4 & 5 clearly shows this if you chose "view more images".

My thought exactly.

We can all hope that they are coming with something new, I'm just getting sick to my stomach of all of the negative posts I have seen lately. Time will tell whats going to happen.

The only thing that catches my eye is the dual rate spring. It sure looks a lot like my front end...

I see a lot of nytro in that picture. Maybe nytro style chassis with cat front end? Always thinking what the next step for Yamaha or any other brand for that matter is.

The part that I like about this is not the content, but more the discussion of why.

Dated February of 2017 leads the blue bloods around here to think that someone at Yamaha is still designing something other than engines. That's all we really wanted to hear. It means that even if a sled is coming out of Thief River Falls, may actually have some Japanese design, and Yamaha still my have some intellectual property other than the engine/clutches. Aside from the beautiful tuning fork on the hood.

The more Yamaha can patent, and hold onto, the more value they bring to the table at Textron. That keeps them in the game. The two words we all fear the most are "Engine supplier" We want them to have input on the design of the entire sled, so that few folks are saying AC/Textron makes Yamaha sleds.

So as I said, I don't care what is on the paper, as much as I care that someone at Yamaha is still filing for patents in the sled division. Since there is a drawing, we can see this is not a design that will be utilized by other divisions like ROV and Motorcycle.

Seems to me that the lower a arm in this picture is much higher than where cat has it located now.
If you read 017 it states this design is good in deep snow where the lower arms will drag in the snow.
Looks like a mod for mountain sleds to me.

Either the tunnel is also very high or the secondary and jackshaft very low also. Engine also but then they put the fuel high.
