Yes, it's the base model. They still sell the same one today, at least in Canada

Brought it home last night, unloaded it off the truck and put 40 miles on it. Overall, I do like the machine, it actually has more power than I expected. But compared to my last 2 Yami's, the clutch noise is quite severe. There is also a bit of a growl or vibration at lower speeds so I'm guessing the driveshaft bearing is on its way out. Will check it out tonight.

Clutch noise can be reduced with a Schmidt Bros. Quiet Kit. Inexpensive and they do reduce, but not eliminate the noise. Low speed vibration COULD be flat spotted belt. Try a new belt first.

I will look into that quiet kit.... my rx1 and apex were actually very quiet. This thing, you would swear the primary is gonna fall off it. I will inspect the belt tonight and maybe even throw on the spair.Clutch noise can be reduced with a Schmidt Bros. Quiet Kit. Inexpensive and they do reduce, but now eliminate the noise. Do you know why is the spare belt is a spare? I have to admit that Yamaha made it pretty easy to change the clutch side driver bearing. If you remove the cover on the bearing and grease it every year it really helps. Main sure that your chain tension is set correctly as well. Finger tight then back off 1/4 turn.

The left diveshaft bearing is easy to change as long as the set screws loosen up and its not seized on the shaft.....
