Have the dealer so the service as close to the season start as you can. The only issue that stinks is the carbs plugging up all the time over storage. I tried everything and nothing ever worked just planned on cleaning them before my first use every time.

Have you tried using Startron and or aviation gas for storage. Dont ever use regular for storage it has the alcohol in it. Use premium gas and startron or seafoam or aviation gas with seafoam.

hey! nice sled tighten your pics in track up they look loose can tell that because backer plates arent aligned with track lugs. Don't want one of them going thru heat exchanger.

After 5 years I finally had to clean my carbs. Idle jets gummed up a bit. Have been fine since then. I do start my sled and warm it up a couple times over the summer and it is stored in a insulated garage.

I tired everything, seafoam, stabil, starting the summer, etc and nothing kept them clean EVERY year on my RX AND Dad's vector all 3 or 4 pilot jets were plugged. I think we have crappy gas around MN and IA with ethanol in it, not sure. Stabil was the worst, seafoam was the best but still needed a cleaning. Starting the sled seemed to work great till about a month before snow then it wouldn't idle again and I had to clean the carbs.
Oh well we are so fast at it now we can do it like 20 mins but with the apex I do NOT miss doing it on mine, Dad still runs a vector and we just make it a 3 beer project when I get back home LOL

If I were going to build a sled from the ground up I would start with an RX 1 for sure. Have fun!

if i could offer any advice i would tell you get rid of the seat and suspension. i put an apex seat on... sits much higher and gets your feet underneath you. i also added an m 10 suspension. both are do it yourself projects and completely change the sled for the better. you also may want to add a 13mm sway bar from pioneer( reduces body roll in corners) these three mods completely changed the ride. sled is still incredibly heavy, but much more rideable now
