I have had my nytro fx since 08. One of the first ones to come out. I've worked through all the bugs and have made it the sled I wanted it to be. Completely satisfied. I am approaching the last year of my YES plan so it is time to part ways and find a new ride.

I have a real hard time spending another $8-$10k on the same sled that I already own. I also already have a Apex, Rage, and Vector that I can ride @ any given time. Since 2008 there has not been any real game changing changes made to this sled.

I love the rider forward position vs the sit down and cruise. What other sleds would you guys consider? I can't be talked into a polaris but would consider a doo or cat.

Why not just keep it? Nytros are incredibly reliable, no reason to sell it just because YES ran out.

Seriously? It's not THAT different.

I'm in kind of the same boat as SIKEWARD. I'm in my 4th winter with the XTX. I've made small but continual improvements to it since getting it, but I'm shopping for a new sled, and can't seriously consider another Nytro, even if there are some nice deals on MTX's, and I like the idea of a longer track. But really I want something lighter. A LOT lighter. So I've VERY likely to be switching brands when I buy this spring or next fall.

Why would you want another sled if you're "completely satisfied" just because your YES plan is running out. However if you are just looking for a change I would wait until the 2013 models are unvailed. The only current model that catches my eye is th XF 1100 turbo snopro.

Get a rupp nytro those where bad back in the day then you can make it into the sled you want it to be . Lol.... I would never get a cat I would get a Polaris pro r 800 switchback that a bad sled there

Just a thought but if yamaha did come out with another new nytro. you know most likely there will be another whole list of fixes that will make the sled even better and maybe even more unknowns of how to fix the glitches! New is not always better. Just my 2 cents worh!

That's the fun of it to make it what you want . None of the factory's can make everybody happy well one can ( Polaris )

Well, personally, I'd be happy with a Nytro that was 100lbs lighter, had handwarmers that work, a bigger gas tank from teh factory, and was a little more stable at speed.

I don't know how Yamaha would deliver that at a reasonable cost, but if they could they'd have a winner in my books.

I know I'll be considering the Skidoo 1200 if Yamaha doesn't come out with anything new in the next couple of years. Seems to be the same power wise but with a way better suspension and warmer ride. It's too bad I still have my nytro because I can get a new 2012 renegade for $9400! Bummer!

i rode a 1200 doo for half a day one time, nice sled but the motor sound is just so annoying to me.... cant compare with the sound of a yammie.

That is true. There's nothing on the snow that sounds half as good as a Nytro.

Too bad you can't take a 4tec gage package and handwarmers and put them on a Nytro.

I'm yet to drive one to really say if I'll like it or not. As for sound, well I'd have to say it sounds pretty good with a hindle can on it.

I would just keep it a couple more seasons. If Yamaha comes out with anything new it will need tweaking if they stay true to the course. If I were to get a new ride right now it would be a 4-Tec TNT. The new Cats are having issues or it would be one of those. I will probably never go back to a 2-stroke.
