went to help old man out with some adjustments on his sled tonight and also clean up and adjust few things on mine. Noticed what looked like water under my sled. Turns out it was oil. Only place that it looked to becoming from was out of the breather that connects valve cover to the vent line ontop of oil tank. Anyone had this issue? wasnt a ton 1/8" down on stick maybe. But only rode 50 miles so far and it has me concerned. Added new clamps and cleaned an reassembled. Idk what else could cause it.

Didn't have that issue with just the airbox so had me worried. That was one of our thoughts aswell. Thanks

Make sure that the breather/vent is above the oil tank with no low spots in the line for oil to accumulate.

you need to have it zip tied up, and if you've rode it at tipped it on its side the breatherMake sure that the breather/vent is above the oil tank with no low spots in the line for oil to accumulate.
will leak and make a mess.

The other thing I have seen is when someone changes the oil and filter they don't check to see if the old filter o-ring is still stuck to the engine and screw on the new filter thus 2 O-rings instead of one and leaks you will have. (this happened to my sled at the 600 mile service by the dealer) That's why I do all my own service. The only reason I brought to dealer was sled was under warranty and didn't want to risk any issues.(almost cost Yamaha a new engine if I hadn't notice it)

Yea do my work myself. Filter was fine breather was loaded with oil and sprayed from there :/ see how it held up today and zip tie it up this week

This is a really good tip. Thanks. I've always had a bit of oil blow out this vent from time to time, just thought it was par for the course for tipping it over...until reading this, never thought about how I had routed the venting. Sure enough, to make it look nice I tied both filters in low under the main filters. The vent filters and parts of the hose were both lower than the dry res. Straightened out the line and strapped it up high now, curious to see how much difference it makes(if we ever get snow)!

I zip tied the lower breather up to filter area and the oil tank/valve cover breather was as high as it can get. But able to get hose on little further. Didn't notice any blow off. Although I didn't add oil after it blew off before because it still showed fairly good
