poleclimber- I guess I've never thought about building any more.....I guess I could fab one up, I'm in the middle of removing the radiator and putting a MPI tunnel super cooler and a 16" X 162" CE track under my sled now.
I have a sheet metal shop that I used before that does some race car mods. I can take my unit over to a get a quote from him and see what it would cost to get a more 'professional' looking unit fabricated?
Or I could get some pics and dimensions if you'd like......Sledboy04
PS I added a vent in the front that allows more cool air to enter the air space- seems to work pretty well. See attached photo......

I have heard about similar concerns before. Is this a problem with any of the filter kits...?Sledboy04 said:I was concerned with filters loosing up slipping off.

I've heard of that happening too, I was just planning and making some kind of support or hanger. I'm ordering the kit next week and I'll post pics of whatever I come up with.

To bad there isnt a single filter (oval) that had the three throtle body boots, that way it would take alot more abuse before falling off and would be a evenly flowing filter, but like Allen said it flows more then the throttle bodys can allow thru.
I have heard that puting hairspray on the boots keeps them from loosening up.

Or a little bit of Loctite, they make some pretty good products that we use at our machine shop to hold some things together!

I agree, someday one of the performance guys will do it proper, or maybe they are already have it in the works.
Although...
Is the Nytro too small a market?
Here is a couple photos of what the guys at D&D offer for the Firecats M and F models.
How many would be willing to pay for a fully engineered unit?

If there is a filter that is close it could be done pretty easily, just not dirt cheap.

I agree with Mach9..it would be nice to see a one piece unit, I'm surprised we haven't seen on yet.

It's a cost issue to try to have a custom one piece filter made. You would be looking at $300-$400 for just the filter with no gaurantee that it will perform any better.
