Not sure what you were gonna add at the end of your reply, but I get the drift. You and I ride the same areas. I rode my 09 Assault through those same trails and even though it was long, it didn't bother me terribly. The mags and the "shows" all say the XTX is the only APEX to get. The longer track balances the weight and the tipped rails make it turn like a shorty on Wisconsin trails, blah, blah, blah. I have never ridden an XTX, but, after learning to ride the Assault, the long XTX seems "do-able". I've never spent any REAL time on the 128 either. I have a 140-something EXPERT X sitting in the shop just waiting to be installed in something. Thought buying an XTX and riding it stock for awhile then switching it out for the EXPERT X was gonna be my plan. But the thought of settling for a shorty and then having to buy a track and seat and bar-risers just to get me where I think I want to be seems like a big expenditure just because the XTX is not available right now. Once you have a long-track, the thought of going back to a short-track is unattractive...
