Last year for the Apex?

Not sure what you were gonna add at the end of your reply, but I get the drift. You and I ride the same areas. I rode my 09 Assault through those same trails and even though it was long, it didn't bother me terribly. The mags and the "shows" all say the XTX is the only APEX to get. The longer track balances the weight and the tipped rails make it turn like a shorty on Wisconsin trails, blah, blah, blah. I have never ridden an XTX, but, after learning to ride the Assault, the long XTX seems "do-able". I've never spent any REAL time on the 128 either. I have a 140-something EXPERT X sitting in the shop just waiting to be installed in something. Thought buying an XTX and riding it stock for awhile then switching it out for the EXPERT X was gonna be my plan. But the thought of settling for a shorty and then having to buy a track and seat and bar-risers just to get me where I think I want to be seems like a big expenditure just because the XTX is not available right now. Once you have a long-track, the thought of going back to a short-track is unattractive...

I can see your point on traction and balance, but to me the seat and riser on the xtx weren't tall enough. Not sure on the tip up myself. Never rode one.... All I know is I want to flick this thing around. Reminds me when a buddy of mine had a rx1 and I had my 136" apex. The guy could kick my butt on the days he wanted to be ballsy. Guess I will know more next year. Still waiting to see what Yamaha gives us in the next 160-200hp class sled

Did you get my pm regarding xtx models in stock

love the apex , wouldn't ride anything else unless it has an apex motor , without a doubt the best motor on the snow

X2.....something about the way the motor revs and they way you just feel and hear the 10,000+ RPMs...I never get tired of squeezing the throttle :4STroke:

Yes. I received the PM. I appreciate the info. Just thought I'd take advantage to ask a couple of questions. I wouldn't mind getting back on a short sled, riding low and slinging it though corners. This long track phenomenon is addicting considering the things they can do. I may not really need a long track any more. Those friends and opportunities have dwindled away. I was the youngest one in the group and they have moved away and retired from sledding. So maybe I'll have to change things and find new riding friends. That white 2013 would look nice in the shop...

The 2013 White SE is really nice.

I did not realize until I picked it up that it is not actually white, but a very light, almost white, Pearl Metalflake.

Very nice in the shop.

They are nice, just wish you could get a Vector in the same color.
