Sounds like it worked well before you turned it on high boost. I'd say the yamabond blew out at high boost! Yamabond is flexible and my guess is its leaking. I use epoxy on all of mine with perfect success. Mike Knapp#17

With the billet tees you really shouldn't need yamabond

I received the billet carb caps the other day and am installing tonight. I am going riding tomorrow and will let everyone know how it works out. Wish me luck.

Well looks like the caps worked. After about 3 miles I did have a main jet get plugged and it was running like crap. That took about 3 hrs to diagnose. Pulled the intercooler off twice, and pulled the carb caps off twice. Finally the 2nd time I pulled the carb caps off, took the needle out and put some wire down through the main jet. Put the caps back on and whala, everything was woking great and did so for the rest of the day. Runs very strong on high boost w/o any issues.
Also, I moved the clips down one to the #4 slot. This helped the 7500 rpm lean issue a lot. I hardly noticed it. Instead of an extreme lean spot at 7500, it would only go about halfway into lean at around 7500. I would definately recomend moving the clips down to #4.

I suspect that the crap you found in the main jet was the culprit all along. If you don't drain your carbs over the winter it is real easy to get the varnish from the gas into the system after the gas evaporates. Too bad you didn't discover the clogged jet before you put the caps on. Perhaps (if you get time and for the benefit of the rest of us) you can put the old caps back on now and let us know if you revert back to the same problems again.

I am afraid to do anything. I finally got the thing running after 8-9 rides and I don't want to waist any more time tuning. It is time to start riding. Honestly I don't think it was from bad gas. I just changed the main jets about 3 rides ago and made sure I pulled the MJ's and the pilots. They all looked great. I am thinking the MJ was plugged from some crap that came off the CV spring. I was testing some new ones and when I pulled them out, this black crap was all over. It was either that or possible a piece of the little "O" ring that fits over the base of the MJ. Either way, my sled is running great and I really don't want to mess with it. The next thing I am going to do is put 3 stock head gaskets in so I don't have to run race gas. I am going through O2 sensors like crazy. That will be a good spring/summer project.

Skydog P.S. You know you can run 8-9 psi safe all day on pump right!

Finally found out my problem......
spark plugs, checked them several times, were on the lean side of things and never thought that they looked like they needed to be changed. Anyway, new plugs and this thing is running wicked now, better than last year. Just goes to show you that you should start with the simple things.
