left hand grip burnt again......

Last summer I put a set of RSI grips (from my local yamaha dealer) on my sled after my left grip heater burnt out...well the same thing happened again after only 2000 miles.....is there a fix for this? or something I'm missing?

I burnt both of my warmers this year. After I looked over the warmers I could see that the wires were rubbed thru where they come out of the grips. I put a little extra length of heat shrink to protect them from rubbing between the grips and the blocks.

Went out for one last one yesterday. Feeling sad about it today...
Had to go down to Sudbury today for an appointment. Seen a couple sleds on the back of trucks heading into the bush.

ya there's still lots of snow just north of the city....did a 100 miles the other weekend

Mine broke at 300km.....now it has 4100km.The dealer use two component glue between the warmers and the grip.
