Can people on this board share what they are seeing for prices on a 2012 Vector LTX in northern WI or the UP? One dealer I called (4 days before the 2013's were released) gave me a price ($10,400 + tax and no programs) and I thought he was joking. They have more than a few Vec's left over.
This sled will be replacing my 2005 Vector and it must be a 2012 w/PS.

Any help out there?

:rocks:

I have seen 2012 Yamaha Vector ltx for as low as $10,199+ tax, registration, MI trail permit. Includes 2 year warranty, 2 year interest free through Yamaha Credit.

That doesn't sound too bad to me.

I saw one in Marquette beginning of Feb with a sign saying $12,500.
Another in Canada is at $12,500 now.

As I told a guy that PM'd me, the price hasn't changed since November.

Port Yamaha has a 2012 Black Vector (not LTX) for $9899 w/ 5 year warranty included. That is a good deal.

I bought mine last October for $10,000 + tax & fees. I did have a trade so I got the extra $500. I looked around at another dealer recently and was quoted $10,400 and that was 5 months later. I'd say they should be coming done in price, keep looking and waiting.

With all due respect, no it's not. It would have been a good deal in October....not now IMO.

IMO...retail price is meaningless. Extended warranty's can be bought for $400.

Bottom line really is = if you're happy with the price....it's a good deal. I will not pay $10K+ for this sled at this time of the year. :rocks:

Either some of these prices are real fishy, or I have been vastly mislead by my local dealer.

Some of you who are dealers please chime in.

I was told that all dealers pay the same price (dealer cost) reguardless of any other factors. (doesn't matter how many or how few sleds they sell.) Some may get better financing terms than others, but dealer cost is even across the board. Then there is the incentive programs yamaha offers which vary from time to time. Some dealers may take this "incentive" off their price. From some of the prices I have seen here, a lot fo these sleds are being sold below dealer cost!

I can't see anyone sellig theses at a loss?

I have seen prices vary by as much as $1500 on the exact same sled from different dealers. Some choose to make more on the initial cost than others.

Have I been misled in the statement that all dealers (Yamaha only) pay the same amount for x model snowmobile? If not, are there really dealers selling sleds below their cost?

prices are around cost and then less the rebates (yamaha calls it customer cash) at least from what ive seen

If Yamaha does the same as other "toy" makers they will lower the floorplan cost to the dealer so they can sell remaining inventory. Think about this....if a dealer is trying to move a NEW 2010 or 2011 sled and it's 1000's lower than the regular sell price (not MSRP) who do you think is taking the financial hit....I can tell you it's not the dealer. :4STroke:
