I am changing the carbides on my 04 RX1...Original skiis. What is the best length of carbide to buy. The original I believe just had a 4" bar in the middle. I want as little darting as possible..Thanks

This is a tuffy.. I've tried a # of different types of bars.. My wife has shaper bars on her 700 V-max and I have dooly's on mine... Hers bites into the snow better on corners but mine runs straight as an arrow while hers darts all over the place.. These are the best runners for chasing away the darts that I've ever tried.......................period.. If you want to get away from darting try the 6" dooly's.. Some guys say they pack with snow but so far I haven't seen it.. I'm sure you will get all kinds of opinions on this subject. MM. :ORC

call scott bergstrom@ bergstromskegs.com

1. the darting is caused by ski angle, very easy and cheap fix.

2. the carbide length is determined by your # of studs.

3. he is having a 25% off sale right now

4. his triple point wear bars are the best.

5. please trust me, and call him before you make any decision

6. he has the fix to cure most darting for just a few dollars

If you were happy with the factory 4 inchers... Than the 6 inch woody dualies are PERFECT for you.. (i had them very good for the mild trail rider)

Hardcore corner junkies like myself have gone to C@A pro skis with single 8inch carbides..NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART..

Hope this helps... Brian..
