Guys! let's try them before we bash these sleds. All manufactures have gremlins. We have had issues with our current and past Yamaha sleds. Let's not forget about all the posts about the issues we had with our other yamaha sleds. Let's give this a chance before we knock it down. If you're not comfortable then let other guys buy and tell. Yamaha was never perfect. Why are we treating them like they were??? We have all spent a lot of hard earned money on getting our Yamaha sleds to where they should have been from the start. Now that we have a suspension and a great motor? What the heck are we bitching about. I'll be one of the so called suckers that will buy one of these Sr VIPERS. Not embarrassed to say. Let you know when i get it in fall! :sled1: ;)!

Well said......not sure why there is all the complaining. Over last 25yrs Ive owned yami atvs, waverunners, motorcycles and sleds. Only one of those product lines to give me issues was the sleds. Phazer and apex. But DAMN that apex motor rocks! Worth the headache of a chassis with issues. Its nice to see something besides BNG or a 1.75 track on a new model release. :) If i had $ id proly trade the apex mtn in on a viper xtx. Im sick of wrestling my sled in the woods. but the apex motor is hands down the best i just wish it was in a lighter chassis. Cant wait to ride a viper and im hoping this works out for yami....

Can't believe you guy in Min get a chance to try these sleds before us in Canada where we have 2 feet of snow Base that is!! But it is what it is! :o|

I wonder if we will even see a opportunity for test rides on these sleds until next year, when the Yamaha Power Tour comes here......Sure Hope Im Wrong :sled1:

Sled rode great.. Very easy to transition to a standing position if needed. Cornered very flat.. Only got to ride it appox 8 miles, but definitely liked it better than any other Yamaha I have driven.. Power felt like my 08 Nytro I had.. Was just hoping for more in the 155 hp range... I think most Yamaha faithful will be very happy with it ;)!

I am going to get to spend a couple of hours on them on wed to ride the three versions back to back and really get a feel for the sled even though they are proto types I did ride a touring two up artic cat with the nytro motor yesterday that is probably coming out in 2015 funniest two up I have been on why yamaha isn't putting that motor in a two up baffles me think of this if yamaha is giving up there nytro motor we must be going to be seeing a replacement motor in 2015 for that catagory and you know the cross country racing will be full of the new yamaha sleds. In my eyes it is a stepping stone for yamaha to help drive sales up to make more profit to spend on R&D of more new chassis my two cents....

Damn I'm in the market for a new sled.
I figure if BMW can make a 1000 NA 4stroke with 180hp.
Yamaha could be close on thier heels.
Here'a hope for 2015 or 16?
