Hi Guys. Newbie here, so bear with me.
I bought a sled lift and I'm not sure where the jacking points are on my 06 Apex's. The front seams pretty straight forward, but where do I position the lift blocks on the rear side? Do I jack it up at the alum finned heat exchanger strips under the foot platforms??
Also, I only have 1 key. I was told that I can only get a spare key with the key code. I never got the code for either sled. The local dealer told me that the code should be stamped on the key switch. I took it off and it says YM509 on the side. Is this the key code?
Thanks in advance
Will

I put padding on my lift and I position my lift under my coolers. It's never harmed anything and I leave my sled on the lift a lot.
That's your key code, yes. Your dealer should be able to order you a key. Or else some dealers can get blanks and cut a new key for you. My dealer is providing key cutting now. I had the same issue as you, but after ordering 2 keys that did not work (off my key code number) we just ordered a couple of key blanks and cut a new one. It worked better to do it that way.

Im surprised there are no blanks for sale on ebay. Are all the blanks the same if I order one for an 06 Apex? That sounds like the best way.
Yes, it looks like the coolers is the only way to position lifting blocks. Thick rubber pad under block??

keys
Unusual...
One dealer told me that the key code would be on the switch and would have 1 letter and 4 numbers. Another dealer told me it would have 4 numbers, no letters.
All I found was YM509.
I contacted Yamaha, and they told me to order a blank using the 4 digit number that is stamped on the original key.
Now have a couple on order at $4 each.
Never had to go through this for a key....

the number that is on the key you have should be a 4 digit and that's your key # I have found that when you get keys cut from yamaha they sometimes do not work well the best thing is to get some blanks and get them cut yourself if your dealer can't find the sheet I will down load it and have tom post here
