Lighted Heated Seat Rocker Switch

Anyone replaced this switch with a lighted one? It's difficult to see where it is set at night and thought a lighted one would be better. Quick search on Amazon didn't turn up anything I liked so curious if anyone else has found something.

They use a similar style switch in marine applications that have indicator lights on them. ON-OFF-ON
Usually for running / anchor lights. The would have them at any marine supply or West Marine stores.

You can use an aftermarket switch like this, but you'll have to add resistors in series with each on position of the switch for it to work properly. These resistors are built into the OEM switch. Resistances are 3.75k on High and 4.32k on Low.

Ahh that makes it more difficult. On the plus side I assume you could change the resistance so low is more reasonable and high is usable.

Based on that I’m guessing the seat warmer gets really warm. I had mine out last night for the first time and with it on high couldn’t feel anything. So I’m guessing mine isn’t working

They seem like they are rpm driven or something, like some of the hand warmers are. I run mine on high or off. When on high it usually takes a bit before I really start to feel it being what I would call high heat. Then while it's on it seems like sometimes I don't feel it like hitting the brake or lower rpm resets it or something.

I had to connect the plug for the seat heat when i got my Winder. takes 5 minutes, plug is under the seat in back

I thought my seat wasn't heating, then I got into some stretches of trails where I could get some RPMs. Wow, it gets warm then. Make sure you get some RPMs before assuming it isn't working.

I picked up some marine on off on switches and am competent enough to solder in the resistors. I have the values posted but when I went to buy some the guy asked me a question I could not answer.

How many watts are they supposed to be?
