I'm about 800 miles new to an apex, Can any of you explain to me what the limiter strap does going down or up with it and also the transfer rod the one with the lock nut they give you spanner wrench for it, what does turning it out do and turning it in do.
Thanks, I've learned a lot from this site, majority of you guys really know your sleds and it really helps have this site to turn to and not having to rely on a dealer that doesn't have a clue.

The longer the transfer rod the more transfer of the machines weight to the track = more acceleration and less ski pressure when on the throttle

Shorter the strap the more ski pressure.

So if I want my Attak to have less ski lift in corners I should shorten my limiter strap so put more weight on the ground? What about the transfer rod?
I don't like the ski lift but if it means much harder steering I might have to live with it.

That would help, also the lower the A-arms are the flatter it corners, I ran mine almost flat & had less ski lift but found as if it felt like it wanted to dip into the turns. I just slightly raised them & have a LITTLE more ski lift, but no longer feels like it is dipping. This also made the steering a little easier.
Always do your changes in small increments until you find what you want. Like shortening up the limited strap 1 hole at a time.

Most of my adjustments have been done by the dealer, since I am a mechanical simpleton.
