I took my Attak out for the first time this year and overall loved the performance. The only thing I noticed was that when I rode on the real bumpy trails that the suspension directly below my feet made this slapping noise which you could also feel exiting each bump.
It was not my suspension bottoming out I am sure of that, so I am attributing the problem to my limiter strap being to tight. My question is this. If my limiter strap was set to stiff would it not allow my front suspension to travel the full length like it should, thus every time I go over rugged trails I think I am feeling the slap of the strap as it gets to full extension. That is what it felt like to me, but since I have never truly dealt with a problem like this I am not sure if that is even possible----any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for the link, they talk about loosening the RA dampning to reduce the clunking effect, is that in reference to the rear shock setting or the transfet rod setting?

They're refering to the rear shock setting - the adjustable dial on the side of the tunnel. Nothing to do with the transfer rod.
