What hole is your limiter strap in as delivered? Wondering if some were setup differently that others. Mine was in #4 which seems really long.
Mine was in 4 also on the long side. I just moved to middle but didn't try yet. I hope it will turn a little better in the tight stuff.

I'm 6'1" and mid shield seems to be fine. Stock shield below 15 degrees is stupid. I have the same problem with turning. Outside ski bites, track wants to go straight and the inside ski lifts. Headed for northern Ontario this weekend and I'm planning to do more setup work there.

I put my limiter strap in hole three. Went to eagle river after having it in hole four for the first 500 miles and I could not believe how much better it handled.

mine was in #4 also, i took it up to #2 and it solved my handling issues.
the mid windshield works fine as well. I am the same height as you. Blocks your hands better too.

Put mine in hole 5, in an effort to allow more of the front of track to take up some weight, relieving heavy ski pressure and some darting. Problem is that weight ratio on mono between center and rear skid does not favor center enough. Last hole does seem to help the loose rear feel and weak traction.
Pulling the limiter strap up (tightening) is a trade off. By doing so, you'll increase ski pressure which will help reduce ski lift and pushing, but you'll also make the steering heavy. Personally, I have my strap pulled up all the way. I have no problems with ski lift and unless the corner is solid ice, the sled does not push through corners. I've read where pulling up the limiter strap may increase darting (solved with Dooly carbides or shims) and reduce top end (more drag.) Thus far, I haven't had any problems and am happy with the way the sled handles.

I leave the straps long and control handling by the weight transfer rod...it does the same thing but without a drastic affect on small bump ability. You still have the fall out of the skid. The mono suspension is more like a teeter-totter as it rocks back and forth under the slightest pull of the throttle. The less you can disrupt the chassis the better it will handle.
Mr. Sled...........Just so I understand correctly, by setting the weight transfer to minimum, the sled will rock back less. In other words, under acceleration, the front of the sled will stay down rather than lifting up.
Additionally, please, explain this comment: "You still have the fall out of the skid."

You are correct on the rocking statement...
fall out is when the front of the skid goes into hole or when you are air born....it will tip farther out into that hole leaving the limiter long or tightening the limiter...you actually will hurt your small bump control or stutters absorbtion if you pull up on that strap.
Another little trick that I found it do not let of when you see nasty holes or washed out corner, if you tape the throttle it will force the front of the skid out and eat the moguls...if you let of all of the rider weight and sled weight will crash the skid...try it...it really work nice.
