I seen some people talking about adjustng the limiter straps for more down pressure on the skis....what is a good rule of thumb for doing this?....is there such a way to over tightening them? I love my sled but just want it to handle a little better, i have purchased some woodys duallys and will be installing this week , taking a trip up to the Forks in Maine Feb.4 - 8 and want the sled to handle a little better. Thanks for the help.

limiter strap adjustment

paulrxwarrior,
Here is a few adjustments that worked for me on my warrior.I tightened the limiter straps 1/4".That was, all that was needed to eliminate the ski lift on my machine. When you tighten the limiter straps it is recommended
that you also tighten the preload, on the center shock.I tightened mine 2 turns in the clockwise direction.I really think you will enjoy the handling of the sled when you install the woody's dually carbides.I installed them on mine
2 weeks ago it made a huge improvement on the handling.Especially in the tight winding trails. It honestly handles like it is on rails. The carbides made the machine feel like it lost 100#s.Good luck.

My sled does not pull the skis off the ground at all not even in good conditions. I loosened the front shock backing off the preload but did not adjust limiter straps. I also notice a push off coners under accell Did I cause this by making the change to the front shock??? Also my buddies RX 1 has smaller washers on his transfer rods more space on bottom do I want hese?? Sorry to attach this to your post
