Just services my 2010 Venture over the weekend. The only thing that I had to change other than fluids and filter was the two limitter straps. One was 3/4 worn true and the other about half way.
I checked and could not see where they rug.I guess when I have the weight on the sled they much hit the track .Both were worn at the same place just before the top bolts of the straps.
I have abot 7000 Km on the sled.Anyone else had this problem? Oh and bye the way the cost of two straps tax in is $80.36 at the dealer.
Thanks once again :sled1:

Make sure your front-rear shock is still in shape. It may have lost some of it's rebound side and become a strap killer.
I have scrapped two set in a row at around 10k because of this.
I see your pain for the 80 bucks. That is the reason i cut a set in a "i think brp expedition" pair at the time. Do not shoot me if i do not remember that well.... this was 20k some ago. 15 Cdn dollars i am pretty sure for the set. Worthed to use your knive. Keep an old one as a template.

Thanks
I did keep the old ones and I will check next time I am at an aftermarket shop for comparison.
I did check the shock un hook it and very stiff.I had a hard time to put it back on.
They wore right at the top bolt washers both same place so I think that the suspension might be to loose in the front .I was thinking of puuting the straps up one hole .
Any negative effects if I do this?
Thanks :sled1:
